District of Sicamous

About the Client

The District of Sicamous is located on British Columbia’s scenic Shuswap Lake and is home to approximately 2,500 residents. Don’t let their small population fool you, Sicamous is the House-boating Capital of Canada and transforms into a bustling vacation hotspot throughout the summer season!

About the Project

For many years, Sicamous had a website that was inconvenient to manage and did not provide site visitors with a pleasant, easy-to-navigate experience. With minimal functionality available, they were restricted in what they could do with their website and as a result couldn't connect with their residents, businesses, and summertime visitors.

Just last year, Sicamous made the move to totally overhaul their branding with a new logo, look, and feel that resonates with their residents and tourists alike. Revamping the website was of utmost priority for the rebrand. We worked with the district to breathe life into their  new brand with a highly functional, beautiful website.

Sicamous's new website truly showcases their personality and youthful exuberance. Our planning and design process with the District was exciting; it included bold new colours, fun supporting graphics, photography, animations and an intuitive layout.

Sicamous has three main audience groups - Explore & Discover, Live Here and Business & Investment. Upon discovering this, we optimized the site map so each audience can access their interests within two clicks or less. Their current website content was migrated to our WebGuide CMS, allowing administrators to audit and adjust their content with ease.
New Municipals Tools and Modules

WebGuide’s optional Municipal tools and modules are excellent for increasing engagement; Sicamous took advantage of this opportunity by adding our Tax Calculator, Business Directory, Staff Directory, and Polls to their website.
We loved this project with Sicamous!
